Salisbury University is a public research university in Salisbury, Maryland. It was founded in 1925 as Maryland State Normal School as a two year institution with a mission to train elementary school teachers to help fill the shortage of teachers in the state of Maryland. The university is a member of the University System of Maryland. The university is spread across 183 acres of land comprising of 75 buildings. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across 6 academic faculties, namely, the Fulton School of Liberal Arts, Perdue School of Business, College of Health and Human Services, Helson School of Science and Technology, Seidel School of Education and Professional Studies, and SU Honors College.
