History, Affiliations and Rankings
Nottingham Trent University (NTU)’s origin can be dated back to the merger of several educational institutions. The Nottingham Government School of Design was established in 1843. This design school is still a part of the university. It was in 1992 that NTU received its current name and the status of a university. QS World University Ranking 2022 places the university at #800-1000 while Times Higher Education 2022 places the university at #501-600. It is ranked #954 in Best Global Universities US News and World Report Ranking 2022.
Campus, Infrastructure and Courses
It has eight academic schools, each accredited by the relevant organization and four world-class campuses across Nottingham in England. The Nottingham Law School, Nottingham Business School, School of Architecture, School of Art & Design, Design and the Built Environment, the Center of Broadcasting and Journalism and School of Social Sciences is located at the city campus. NTU offers a plethora of courses through its undergraduate, postgraduate degrees and apprenticeship courses in various fields like Journalism, Social Science, Nursing, Business, Sciences, Law, Education, Arts, Psychology, Marketing, Creative Technologies, Design, Management, and Sports.

Over the years, NTU has maintained collaborations with numerous international institutions and organizations. It is known to be a member of Midlands Enterprise Universities, the Talloires Network, and the International Santander Universities Network. Student Diversity and Visiting Companies
NTU encourages student diversity at its campus by promoting the active enrollment of international students every year. It caters to the academic demands of a number of international students through its excellent team of qualified faculty members. The university is known for its high placement statistics. In 2015-16, 96% of its postgraduates were employed or enrolled for further studies within six months of course completion. Some of the top recruiters at NTU are - HP, RollsRoyce, Mothercare.
