Northern College has partnered with Pures College of Technology to provide international students in Toronto with a high-quality education and exceptional service. Northern College was founded in 1967 as part of the development of Ontario's college system. Pures College of Technology is a private professional college in Ontario that was formed in 2007. It is governed by the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. The college is affiliated with the CCAA, ACCC, and AUCC. This institution is ranked as 9210 in the global universities category by the QS World University Rankings 2022. 

Infrastructure, Campuses, and Courses

The catchment area of the institution is 58,000 square miles (150,200 square kilometers). Four campuses in Timmins (Porcupine), Kirkland Lake, Moosonee, and Haileybury serve more than 65 towns in Northeastern Ontario. Kirkland Lake was the first campus to open, followed by Porcupine, Haileybury, and Moosonee. Sylvia Martin created the Northern College tartan. The college campuses have state-of-the-art infrastructure, state-of-the-art and well-equipped laboratories, computer labs, libraries, bookstores, and much more. Northern College has approximately 75 full-time, part-time, diploma, certificate, and apprenticeship programs in business, health care, technology, social and economic development, human services, and crafts.

Accomplishments and Alumni

The Department of Applied Research, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation at Northern College has created an innovation hub to deliver new solutions through R&D and encourage creative entrepreneurs. Northern College enhances knowledge, technology, and business brains for discoveries, services, and advances. Northern College has been in operation since 1967, has over 35000 alumni, is well-known for its continuously high graduate employment and employer satisfaction rates, and has a strong reputation for providing effective career-oriented programs. Some of the most famous alumni of this college are Catherine Foster (an English operatic soprano), Olga Jegunova (a Latvian classical pianist), and Stephen Andrew Gill Hough, (a British-born classical pianist, composer, and writer). 

Student Diversity and Visiting Companies

Approximately 1,500 full-time students are enrolled each year. The annual enrolment in part-time and continuing education reaches 11,000 students. Students from all over the world apply for admission to Northern College to embark on a life-changing adventure and further their professions. International students account for about 2% of Northern College's student body. Northern College's principal goal is to equip students with a wide range of skills in areas such as healthcare, business, social and economic development, human services, and technology. Northern College's Graduate Employment Rate was reported to be 84.8 percent, while Employer Satisfaction was reported to be 89.5 percent, according to KPI statistics for the 2016-2017 school year. Students can join a variety of student-led groups as well as clubs. Several social, political, and intellectual groups on campus cater to the interests of all students by bringing them together.
