Harrisburg University is the first independent, non-profit university to be founded in Pennsylvania in more than a century. It was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on December 12, 2001.Their  Health Science Education Center, currently under construction, will contain 260,000 sq. feet of academic space. Harrisburg University of Science and Technology is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Harrisburg University of Science and Technology is ranked #131-171 in Regional Universities North.

Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses

The campus at Harrisburg University is contemporary and designed around a number of structures. The institution has spent almost £20 million to create a bustling campus with all the necessary facilities, residence halls, classrooms, and libraries. The institution opened a satellite campus in Philadelphia in 2017. In Philadelphia, there is a focus on training in interactive media, computer and information science, as well as master's-level courses in human-centered interaction design and technopreneurship. By implementing the newest technical developments to manage energy usage and reduce carbon emissions, it is concentrating on creating a sustainable campus. It offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in a variety of academic fields. One of the few American institutions to receive accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education is this institution. Harrisburg University focuses on providing all students with access to high-quality education. The main selling point of Harrisburg University is that it offers one of Pennsylvania's lowest tuition rates for private university education. It provides full-time and part-time degrees in a variety of fields, including drama, English, creative writing, and many others in the humanities, social sciences, history, mathematics, psychology, law, sport and health, and humanities and social sciences.

Accomplishments and Alumni

Harrisburg University places a unique emphasis on education in fields identified with engineering, applied science and technology, and offers bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, doctoral degree and certificate programs. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education recently officially informed Harrisburg University that the university's accreditation status has been reaffirmed. Timothy DeFoor, Auditor General of Pennsylvania is the alumnus of Harrisburg University.

With nearly 7,000 students hailing from 102 countries, the university has one of the most diverse student bodies among private colleges. Many reputed companies come to this university for placement.
