Coventry University is a research-led public university in Coventry, United Kingdom that was known as Lanchester Polytechnic until 1987 and later gained university status in 1992. With its roots traced back to 1843 with the Coventry School of Design, the university has grown dynamically and transformed into a modern university. The university has also won the Teaching Excellent Framework's Gold rating for excellent teaching and learning in the year 2017. The university is affiliated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities, European University Association (EUA), University Alliance, and Universities UK. In addition, Coventry University ranks between #601-650 in the QS World University Rankings 2022 and between #601–800 in THE World University Rankings 2022. The Complete University Guide and the Guardian University League Table rank the university at #52 and #38 for 2022, respectively.
Infrastructure, Campuses & Courses
The university is extended to two principal campuses, one in the centre of Coventry with most of the operations and the other in Central London offering Business and Management courses. Other than this, it governs other higher education institutions CU London and CU Scarborough. The biggest attraction at Coventry is its dynamic campus life with top-notch facilities and home to an award-winning building, 'The Hub'. The Hub was built specifically for students and is equipped with a variety of high-tech amenities, including a student union office, multi-purpose halls, catering services, a food court, and much more. Under the university, there are over 21 towers, each with its own function.
