Concordia University, located in the dynamic and cosmopolitan city of Montreal, is one of the top-ranked universities in the world built within the last 50 years, as well as one of Canada's largest urban universities. Following the merger of Loyola College and Sir George Williams University on August 24, 1974, the university was officially established. Concordia adopted its name from Montreal’s motto, Concordia Salus, which means “well-being through harmony.” The university's basic principles, which include a dedication to better individuals and society, are derived from those held dear by Loyola and Sir George Williams for many years. Concordia has academic affiliations with organisations like Universities Canada, International Association of Universities, Canadian Association of Research Libraries, U Sports, Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec and more. In numerous worldwide rankings, the institution and its programmes are ranked among the top in Canada and the globe. In 2021 THE Young University Rankings, it is ranked as Canada's best university for students under the age of 50. The CEO Magazine has placed the university at #2 in Canada for its EMBA programme, while THE Rankings by Subject 2021 has ranked it between #6–8 in Canada for Engineering. The QS World University Rankings 2022 and THE World University Rankings 2022 rank the university between #521-530 and #601-800 respectively.
Infrastructure, Campuses & Courses
