The UCAT dates are published on the official website. As an applicant, you must know the dates to register on time. 6 Steps to Register for the UCAT
Early UCAT registration gives you the option to choose the test date and centre of your choice. Moreover, if you ever want to reschedule your paper, you can do so. Decided to register? Here are the steps you need to follow:
Ensure That You Are Eligible for the Test
You must take the UCAT only if you seek admission to a dental or medical school in the UK. Moreover, you must ensure that you meet the general eligibility criteria for the selected course. Otherwise, there is no point in taking the UCAT as your overall application is considered.
Secondly, know that if you have an affiliation with a UCAT coaching business. For example, if you are a content developer or a tutor, you cannot sit for this exam. Besides this, there are no exemptions.
Create a UCAT Account
Next, create a UCAT account. You need a UCAT account to book your exam date. You are not allowed to hold multiple accounts. Therefore, if you are appearing for the second time, you still need to use your existing account. You will be asked to provide your legal name, ID card, and other details. Unlike other exams, you do not have to provide your UCAS ID or UK university choices. They can directly get your information from your UCAS application.
Get Pearson VUE Confirmation Email
After you register, you will get a Pearson VUE confirmation email. This email would consist of your username that you can use to log in. You will also get a UCAT candidate ID. You wil find the same in the left corner of your account. It will take 1 day for Pearson to set up your account.
Request to Access Arrangements
Those with disabilities can request access arrangements like accommodation. However, it must be done before booking the test. Such applicants must first request access arrangements, wait for approval (generally 10 days). Thereafter, they can book the test.
Book Your Exam Date and Test Centre
Test bookings are currently open. You can log in to your UCAT account and choose a date when you want to take the test. Thereafter, you can proceed to book your test centre. Test centres are located worldwide. You can choose the Pearson authorised test centre near your location.
Exam Fee Payment
At this stage, you will be required to pay your registration fee. The fee can be paid using any valid debit or credit card. Without fee payment, your exam registration will not be complete.
Get Booking Confirmation
Once you have registered for the UCAT, you will receive two confirmation emails. One is a UCAT registration booking confirmation that consists of test appointment details. The other is a payment confirmation email. Print out the same.

UCAT Fees 2025
A bursary is provided to UK applicants with financial need. All other applicants will have to pay fees to register for UCAT. The fees are provided below:

Can I Reschedule my UCAT Exam?
Definitely! You can reschedule your UCAT exam if test dates are available. Let’s say you are registering for the exam on 18-19th September. In this case, test dates may not be available. Early registration allows you to reschedule your exam in case of unforeseen circumstances.
You can reschedule your exam after logging in to your UCAT account. Test rescheduling must be done at least 24 hours in advance. If you are choosing to reschedule after the test booking has closed, you will have to contact the Pearson customer service centre. They will assist you with the rescheduling process. Those rescheduled earlier can do so online.

What To Take With You To the Test Centre?
After the UCAT registration is done, you can appear for the test. You must take with you a valid photo identification card, UCAT test appointment confirmation (that you have downloaded), and a fitness to test declaration (confirming that you are medically fit to take the test). Ensure that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the test starts. The following are the things that are permitted and not allowed inside the test centre.

5 Tips To Register for the UCAT
Here are five tips to register for the UCAT. Keep these things in mind during the registration process. The UCAT registration can be done today as the registration and test bookings are currently open.
- Register early for the test to choose a date that suits you. Most students recommend taking the test in late July or August. Taking the test early means you will get the results early.
- Reuse your account: If you are a returning candidate, you must reuse the same account. Keeping multiple accounts is not permitted.
- Apply for bursaries/arrangements early: You need to apply for bursaries or special arrangements early on. Approval can take time. You need to get the same before you book the test.
- Use the UCAT account to check test date availability: Just like you, other students can also change their test dates when they want (if available). Therefore, the test date available changes in real time. Use your account to check the same. Do not contact customer service for such details.
- Understand the Fitness to Test Policy: You can only take the test if you are mentally and physically fit to take the test. Go through the fitness to test policy, ensure that you are healthy and then take the test. Those who are not fit must not take the test.
