The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, founded in 1952, is a 98-acre (40 ha) zoo, aquarium, botanical garden, natural history museum, publisher, and art gallery. For all the adventurous souls out there, The Loop is a network of shared-use paths maintained by Pima County in urban Tucson, Arizona. Except for one path, the Santa Cruz River or one of its tributaries to the east are followed by all of the Loop’s trails. Although the city’s rivers are dry for the majority of the year, groundwater near the surface feeds a diversity of fauna. Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium

Tucson, Arizona’s Flandrau Science Centre & Planetarium is a science museum and planetarium. It is a division of the University of Arizona. Grace Flandrau, an American author, inspired the name. The Eos Planetarium Theatre seats 146 people and features a 15.2-metre dome. Moreover the scientific centre features a variety of Earth and space science exhibits. The planetarium initially employed a star projector known as the “Hector Vector Star Projector” for its programmes. Newer technology has supplanted the star projector. The planetarium was renovated and relaunched as the “Eos Foundation Planetarium Theatre” in 2017.

Mission San Xavier del Bac

Mission San Xavier del Bac is a historic Spanish Catholic mission in Tucson, Arizona, about 10 miles (16 kilometres) south of downtown. Padre Eusebio Kino established the mission in 1692 in the heart of a centuries-old Sobaipuri O’odham town. This northern chapel or church supported the mission until it was destroyed in 1770 during an Apache raid. The current mission was established between 1783 and 1797, making it the oldest European structure in Arizona.
