Study in UK: University of Derby Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Open for South Asian Students 

The University of Derby offers Vice Chancellor’s Scholarships for International students for the September 2024 intake. The scholarship is available to students from South Asia, Africa, and South East Asia. With the scholarship, the university aims to attract the most ambitious, brightest and capable students to the university. The scholarship benefit is a tuition fee discount of  £2,000. This scholarship amount is given in addition to the Full Payment Discount (£1,000 discount). The Full Payment discount is only given to students who pay the annual tuition fees in full ahead of the enrolment. The University of Derby ranks  1001-1200 (as per the QS World Ranking 2024). Hence, it is an excellent university to study in the UK.

Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Eligibility

The University of Derby Vice Chancellor’s scholarship benefits are as follows:

• You must be a national of South Asia, Africa or South East Asia, and must hold an international fee status 
• Moreover, you must be self-financing your education 
• Additionally, you must be enrolling on a full-time postgraduate taught program or a full-time undergraduate taught program at the university. Classes must be held on campus.
• You must be starting your course in either September 2024 or January 2025 
• You must also be a first-time student at the University of Derby campus.
• However, the university does not take into account those who qualify for this scholarship for the International Alumni Discount or any other financial awards except the Full Payment Discount.

Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Application Process 

The University of Derby Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship application process is as follows:

• You must meet the academic conditions mentioned in the offer letter
• Moreover, you must pay the tuition fee deposit of £8,000
• You need to complete the Pre-CAS interview ( if applicable)
• You must also have been issued CAS (if applicable)
• Lastly, you must complete the enrollment process 

Additionally, those who pay the international tuition fees upfront before enrollment will receive an extra tuition fee discount of  £1,000.

There is no need to apply for the University of Derby Vice Chancellor’s scholarship. The university of Derby will automatically apply the scholarship amount, deducting it from the outstanding tuition fees according to their guidelines.
