The University of Alberta (UAlberta) is offering International Scholarships to students. These are application-based scholarships and nonapplication-based scholarships. The application-based scholarships are available to students who meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarship and apply for the same. The University of Alberta provides a total of 5 application-based scholarships. The deadline for the same is on January 10, 2024. However, applicants must apply for an undergraduate degree program for the scholarship consideration. The international scholarship offers will be made starting in early winter 2024.

President’s International Distinction Scholarship
The President’s International Distinction Scholarship is available to 1st-year undergraduate students with superior academic records and demonstrated leadership qualities. The scholarship benefit is up to CAD 120,000 (payable over 4 years).
International Leader Scholarship
The University of Alberta International Leader Scholarship is available to well-rounded leaders with superior academic records. The benefit is CAD 15,000. However, this scholarship is not renewable.
May Quon Undergraduate Scholarship
The May Quon Undergraduate Scholarship is available to students with a superior admission average and self-declared financial need. The scholarship benefit is $100,000 (payable over 4 years). However, this scholarship is only available to Chinese/Hong Kong citizens.
Cora Martinson International Scholarship
The Cora Martinson International Scholarship is available to students with superior academic achievement entering any year of an undergraduate degree program at Augustana Faculty on a Student Visa Permit. The benefit is up to $56,000 (payable over 4 years). However, students with a financial need will be given preference.
University of Alberta Global Citizen Scholarship for IB Diploma International Students
The University of Alberta Global Citizen Scholarship for the IB Diploma is available to international students with a strong academic background, leadership skills, and demonstrated financial need. The benefit is an amount of up to $53,000 per year for 4 years. However, the scholarship is only available to 1st year UG students from Aga Khan Academies operating under the AKA agency of the Aga Khan Development Network.
