Study in Australia: UQ Science International Scholarship Applications Open from November 2023

The University of Queensland (UQ) is offering international scholarships to students wanting to enroll in the Faculty of science degree programs. undergraduate and postgraduate students can avail the scholarship.

The scholarship beneficiaries are granted an amount of AUD$ 5000/INR 2.74 lakh. However, it will be a one-off amount. Bachelor of Biotechnology,  Bachelor of Mathematics, Master of Agricultural science, and Master of Quantum Technology are some of the eligible courses. 

The scholarship applications will open in November 2023. The deadline for the same is January 2024. 

UQ Science International Scholarship Eligibility 

The eligibility criteria for the UQ science International scholarship are as follows:

• Must be an international student.
• Moreover, the student must be commencing the 1st semester at UQ 
• Must be studying an approved UQ Faculty of Science program 
• Moreover, the student must meet the conditions of the offer letter by the scholarship deadline and must demonstrate strong academic performance 
• Dual degree applicants must not simultaneously hold another scholarship 

UQ Science International Scholarship Selection criteria

The selection process for the UQ science International Scholarship includes checking the academic performance of the candidate, and the capacity of the candidate to create change and contribute to science. The university ensures diversity inclusion.

The Faculty of Science Associate Dean/nominee is responsible for the selection of the beneficiaries. The scholarship applications open this November. Interested candidates can apply for the scholarship before January 2024. 

The scholarship application requires the candidates to submit an application from, and a personal statement. For example, in the personal statement the student can include details on how he/she will contribute to science.

UQ will notify the applicants regarding the outcome of their application within 4 weeks of the closing date.
