Study in Australia: Monash University Merit Scholarship 2024 Applications Open 

Monash University is offering merit scholarships to international students. The scholarships are open and available to students who are currently enrolled at Monash University. Moreover, international students who have received an offer letter from the university can also apply for the scholarship. The scholarship benefit is $10,000 per annum for the duration of the degree. The Monash University merit scholarship is available to students who demonstrate excellence in academics.  A total of 31 scholarships are available per year. Interested students can apply for the same before the deadline. The selection process for the same starts on October 15, 2023.

Monash University Merit Scholarship Eligibility

The Monash University Merit Scholarship eligibility criteria are as follows.

• Must be an international student intending to enroll in a postgraduate or undergraduate degree program at a Monash campus in Australia.
• Additionally, the commencing students must have received an offer letter from the university. 
• However, to avail of the scholarship the current students must present the results of 2 completed semesters in Australia
• Similarly, current students enrolled in the Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD) course, or  Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) course need to present results of 4 semesters.
• Moreover, students who are studying Australian Year 12 are eligible for the scholarship.

Monash University Merit Scholarship Benefits 

The Monash University Merit Scholarship benefits are as follows:

• $10,000 per annum (8.32 lakh) (48 credit points of study) is given per year until the minimum number of points for your degree is completed.
• Commencing undergraduate students have to apply for a place in Monash Minds. Monash Minds is a leadership program for the 1st year students.

The Monash University Merit Scholarship beneficiaries are selected on the basis of their academic achievement and the scholarship statement of the student. Additionally, their ability to become an ambassador for Monash University is accessed. Moreover, current students require a minimum average score of 85. However, the preference is given to new students.
