Candidates are allowed to work in Canada while waiting for the processing of their PGWP provided that they have submitted their application before their study permit has expired. From the date that they finish their study program, there is a 180-day window within which they must apply for their PGWP. They can apply for a PGWP from abroad if they leave Canada after completing their education.
