Study Abroad in the UK: The University of East Anglia Announced New Scholarships for International Students

The University of East Anglia (UEA) has announced multiple scholarships for international students. The scholarship is available for students interested in pursuing postgraduate taught courses for the year 2023-2024. The scholarships are available across various departments at the university. Candidates can apply for them on the university’s official website. Let us look at the details of each announced scholarship.

Scholarships for Indian students

Candidates can apply for these scholarships by visiting the official website of UEA. The basic details of all the scholarships are mentioned below:

  1. The Sonny Mehta India Scholarship: 

It is specifically designed for Indian students who aspire to become writers. It is worth £28,500 (INR 28,97,890), and applicants must make a separate application for it. The scholarship will enable students to study in UEA’s Department of Literature, Drama, and Creative Writing.

  1. School of International Development

The School of International Development offers full-fee scholarships. This includes financial assistance equal to the full amount of international fees. The scholarship is given to five students who are enrolled in any of their full-time master’s courses. This scholarship grant covers tuition fees up to the value of £19,800 (INR 20,12,784).

  1. MSc Academic and Professional Scholarships

This scholarship is awarded by the School of Economics to International students. It is given to those who seek advanced training in Economics and wish to pursue an academic career.  This scholarship covers full international fees (£19,000 or INR 19,31,725). Additionally, students taking any MSc Academic and Professional programmes can avail of 50% of the international fees (£9,500 or INR 9,65,822).

  1. David Sainsbury Full MSc Scholarship:

The scholarship is available to a limited number of candidates pursuing an MSc in Global Plant Health. The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition fees (£31,500 or INR 32,02,979). It also covers a maintenance grant and an additional £4,000 (INR 4,06,736) for travel costs.

  1. NBS Master’s (MSc) Better Business Scholarship: 

The Norwich Business School (NBS) is hosting the NBS Master’s (MSc) Better Business scholarship. This scholarship is worth up to £150,000 (INR 1,52,55,540). The scholarship is awarded as tuition fee reductions for full-time Masters’s and MSc students. There is one full-fee scholarship (£21,200 or INR 21,55,603), and five scholarships worth £10,000 each (INR 10,16,697). Along with that, there are ten scholarships worth £8,000 each (INR 8,13,357), for which students can apply.
