The International student enrolments have increased for the first time since the pandemic. For the first time since the pandemic the International student enrolment has increased.
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire had witnessed a 31.5% decrease in International enrolments during the fall semester of 2019 though the fall semester of 2021. However, International countries have responded to the virus, taking all the necessary measures to reduce its impact on the communities. Consequently, International student enrolments have increased.It resulted in 215 international students being on the campus this year.
Reasons for the rise in Internationals student enrolments
According to Colleen Marchwick, the Director of the Centre for International Education at UW-Eau Claire, the quality of education is the main reason for the rise in International student enrolments.
The university also has several dual degree programs to attack international students. For example, International business, finance, computer science, and engineering.
The Number of Undergraduate International Students
The number of undergraduate International students in the undergraduate courses are as follows. Do note that 38 countries are represented within these programs. It includes students from China, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, and more.

International students enrolled in the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire can get several benefits.
According to Vivan Ong, a Senior major in Actuarial Science, the university offered the major, and scholarships, and answered every question she had.
Aside from that, the Centre for International Education makes sure that the transition from the International student’s home country to the U.S. is smooth. That is, by helping students manage the US immigration policies. The CIE also keeps students updated and makes it easier for students to approach them in case of any issues.
