PTE Rescore Request Process
Candidates can request for PTE rescore if they are not satisfied with their score. Students or working professionals appearing for the PTE Academic Test or PTE Academic UKVI or PTE Home A1, A2, and B1 can ask for a rescore for their latest test only, provided they have not registered for another test. Follow the process to get a rescore.
- The PTE rescore process can be initiated by contacting the Customer Support of the Pearson PLC Group over the phone. This request can only be made over the phone.
- The request needs to be raised within 14 days of the score being made available to the applicant.

Things to Consider For PTE Rescore
Before requesting rescore, students or working professionals, visualising a future abroad, are advised to take the following details under consideration:
For PTE Academic Test
- Overall PTE score is unlikely to change as it is a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
- Pearson only rescores open-ended written answers and spoken responses.
- If the overall score changes, which is highly unusual, the conducting body refunds the PTE rescore fee.
- In case of a score change, the new score will replace the original one.
- Pearson allows one rescore request per test registration.
- Candidates can request score changes on their latest PTE Academic test.
- Rescore is not permitted in case a working professional or student has already registered for another test.
For PTE Home A1, A2, and B1 Tests
- PTE Home A1, A2, and B1 tests are also computer-scored tests, owing to which change in the overall score is unlikely.
- Any change in the PTE score will be reflected in the PTE score report of the applicant.
- PTE rescore request can be made for the recent test.
- The conducting authority permits one request per PTE Home test.
- A request for a score change cannot be made if the candidate has registered for another PTE test.

PTE Score: How to Access?
PTE scores are usually available within five working days of the test. Pearson sends PTE Academic and Home test scores via mail. Additionally, candidates can access their test score report or scores on the official website. This report is valid for two years from the date of the test.
Follow these steps to access the test score report:
- Sign in to my PTE account.
- After signing in, go to ‘View Score’ on the homepage.
- In case, the candidate cannot locate the ‘View Score’ button, he/she/they should visit ‘My Activity’ and then select the ‘View Score’ option.
- Candidates can save their PTE score report in PDF format, take a print, or share it with the desired universities, in case of PTE Academic test score.
PTE Academic Scores: How to Send to Universities?
PTE Academic scores are a prerequisite to getting admitted to universities in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and other countries such as the US and Canada. Students can share their PTE test report either using the online portal of the Pearson PLC Group or by sharing Score Report Code. There is no limit to the number of institutions with which students can share their scores. Once the candidate shares the score report, universities take around 2 days/48 hours to view the score.
Sharing Scores Through Score Report Code
- Select the desired academic institutions.
- Share the Score Report Code with them.
- Selected institutions will check PTE Academic scores using the 10-digit Score Report Code or Registration ID of the candidate.
Sharing Scores Through the Online Portal of Pearson
- Sign in to my PTE account.
- Select the ‘Send Scores’ button under the ‘My Activity’ option.
- Mention the desired institutions in the ‘Institution/School/Department/Organisation’ field and then click on ‘Search’.
- Select the institutions. One can send scores to only seven institutions at once.
- Go to the bottom of the page and click on ‘Next’.
- Again click on ‘Next’ to confirm your details.
- Pearson will send a confirmation mail to students after sharing PTE scores with the institutions.
