Q.1. Do people nowadays help others more than in the past?

Ans. It is quite difficult to make a definitive comparison between the past and the present as the ways people help each other have evolved. In the past, people used to do direct and personal help due to close-knit communities. However, with the advent of new technologies and global connectivity, now people have the ability to help others on a larger scale, even those who are thousands of miles away. It includes donating to charity, participating in crowdfunding campaigns, and volunteering for international organizations. So, maybe the nature of helping has changed, but that doesn’t mean that people today are more or less helpful than in the past.

Q.2. Who should teach children to help others? Parents or teachers?

Ans. Both parents and teachers play a vital role in teaching children to help others. Parents are the child’s first role models who instill values of empathy and kindness from an early age through their actions and behaviors. Teachers, on the other hand, can reinforce values in a more social setting and teach children about the importance of community services and social responsibility. Therefore, everything is the combined effort of both parents and teachers to help nurture the spirit of helping others in children.

Q.1. In what kind of professions do people help others more?

Ans. Some occupations revolve around assisting others as a central aspect of their work. Healthcare practitioners such as doctors, nurses, and therapists have a direct influence on people’s welfare. Educators and teachers help in shaping minds and the future. Social workers, counselors, and individuals working in profit organizations often strive to enhance the lives of both individuals and communities. However, it is crucial to acknowledge that every profession has the potential to offer help in its own manner.

Q.2. Why are some people willing to help others?

Ans.  People are often motivated to help others for reasons. Some individuals are driven by empathy and a genuine desire to alleviate suffering. Others may be influenced by experiences or a strong sense of community involvement. Many find fulfilment and personal satisfaction in assisting others, which in turn contributes to their happiness and overall life contentment. Additionally, cultural, religious, or moral beliefs can also serve as guiding factors that encourage people to lend a helping hand. Ultimately the motivations behind helping others are as unique and diverse as the individuals themselves.
