• To do specific work for a duration of 3 months so that the applicant can become eligible for a second working holiday visa. (Note: the second working holiday visa allows a person to do any kind of work)
• The working holiday visa allows a person to work for a duration of 6 months with the same employer. Similarly, studying in Australia on this visa is only possible for a duration of 4 months (17 weeks).

There are mainly 3 types of work and holiday visas. 

• First work and holiday visa: The visa is available to people between the ages of 18-30 wanting an extended holiday in Australia, and wants to work to fund their trip.
• Second work and holiday visa: Must be between 18-30 years of age and must have a second working class holiday in Australia.
• Third work and holiday visa:  18-30 years old, must have held a second Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa and must be on a 3rd working holiday in Australia.

Eligibility Criteria for Work and Holiday Visa

The eligibility criteria for work and holiday visa is as follows: Do note: for all types of working holiday visas the family members (like dependent children) cannot be accompanied.

• First work and holiday visa: The applicant must have a passport for a work and holiday visa.
• Second work and holiday visa: Must have a passport and must have done 3 months of specified subclass 462 work​.
• Third work and holiday visa: Must have a passport, and must have completed 6 months of specific subclass 462 work​. Moreover, the applicant must hold a specific subclass 462 work visa (in case, of living in Australia).

The working holiday visa is available for a duration of 12 months. The duration is the same for the First work and holiday visa, Second work and holiday visa, and Third work and holiday visa.

Working Holiday Visa Extension Australia

The working holiday visa cannot be extended for more than 12 months. The working holiday visa extension is only possible under exceptional circumstances. That is if a close family member in Australia has died or is seriously ill.

• The visa outcome will be provided to the applicant in writing. After granting the visa approval, details such as the date the visa starts, visa granting number, visa conditions, etc will be provided to the applicant.
• In case, the visa application is rejected, the applicant can submit an application for review
