• A passport with at least 6 months validity. The passport must have a minimum of 3 blank pages. If the applicant has an old passport it must be presented as well 
• Additionally, the applicant must submit 2 colour passport photographs. The photograph must be 4.5 cm in length and 3.5 cm in width 
• A completed and signed visa application form, and a personal cover letter. The personal cover letter must explain the purpose of staying in Mexico
• The applicant must submit a bank statement of at least 3 months 
• Personal Income Tax Return (ITR) or Form 16 (previous year).
• Visa fee ($51 US Dollars payable in INR at the current exchange rate).
• Travel tickets to return to the home country must be submitted
• An accommodation proof such as a hotel reservation for the duration of the stay

Mexico Tourist Visa Requirements for Employed, Self Employed & Retired Personnel 

Apart from the above documents, applicants must also present other additional documents. That is, the employed, self-employed or retired person must bring several other documents to meet the Mexico tourist visa requirements. They are: 

• An employed person must present a leave-sanction certificate that includes the seal of the company. The leave sanction letter must contain the approval for leave. Additionally, the applicant must include the salary slips for the last 3 months 
• On the other hand, a self-employed person must present a business proof. That is a registration license, partnership deed, or an MOA. The company bank statement (updated and stamped) for the previous 6 months must also be included 
• If the applicant is retired then he/she must present retirement proof. For example, a pension book. 
• In case, the applicant is a student then an ID card from college/school must be submitted

All dependents who are visiting Mexico must present additional documents. These documents are as follows:

• Children or applicants under the age of 25 and are financially dependent on the main applicant must submit a birth certificate duly apostilled and the passport copy of the parents. In case the birth certificate has been obtained in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka or Nepal additional documents may be required.
• Parents Dependent on the main Applicant must present a birth certificate of the main applicant (dully apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs) and a copy of the passport.
• Financially Dependent spouse must include the marriage certificate (original and copy), and passport. The marriages taking place in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal or Maldives, Nepal or Maldives must be legalised.

Mexico Tourist Visa Requirements for Visting Friends/Relatives

A Mexico Tourist Visa is granted to visit relatives or friends. Therefore, those visiting the country for this purpose must present additional documents. For example, 

• An invitation letter that states the relationship between the applicant and the inviter. The invitation letter must also explain the purpose of the visit, and ensure the responsibility for housing arrangements, and other related expenses 
• The identification proof of the inviter and the address proof of the applicant can be submitted.
