PM Narendra Modi Lay Foundation Stone: Varanasi Cricket Stadium Location
On 23 September 2023, Saturday at 1:30 PM, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India visited Varanasi and laid the foundation stone of the Varanasi Cricket Stadium.
This Stadium is PM Modi’s Parliamentary Constituency. The stadium will be developed in an area of 30 acres of land in Ganjari, Rajatlab.
The Government of India has sanctioned INR 450 crore for the establishment of Varanasi Cricket Stadium. Out of INR 450 crore, BCCI will invest 330 crore for the construction purpose.
The architecture will be based on the Lord Shiva theme. The designs include crescent-shaped roof covers, trident-shaped flood lights, ghat steps-based seating, and Bilvipatra-shaped metallic sheets on the facade.
The stadium is expected to be completed after 2 years in December 2025.
