I am writing to you about a major issue we are facing here in Noida – a severe water shortage. It has been a problem for a while now, but things get tough during the summer months. The water supply is incredibly unreliable. We might only get a trickle for a few hours a day, which makes even basic tasks like showering and washing dishes a challenge. People are lining up with buckets and drums at public taps, hoping to get enough water to last until the next supply comes on. It has become a real strain on everyone’s daily routine. We have to plan our showers and laundry around the water schedule. Also, we often forget about watering the plants or washing the car. The whole situation is quite frustrating. There have been talks about water rationing and even tanker trucks supplying water to some areas, but it is not enough. I am hoping the authorities will come up with a long-term solution soon such as exploring rainwater harvesting or finding new water sources. On a more positive note, it has made everyone more conscious about water conservation. We are all trying to be more careful, taking shorter showers and reusing water whenever possible.
