Sana and I study in Class 7 at Green Valley Girls’ School. She is 12 years old and lives near my building. We became friends in Class 5 when we were in the same art group. Since then, we have always stayed together. Sana is really good at drawing and painting. She has won 3 gold medals in different school art competitions. Her paintings were once shown in a children’s art exhibition at Science City. She mostly draws nature scenes like mountains, rivers, trees, and birds. Today, I want to tell you about my best friend Kabir Singh, who is one of the smartest and nicest people I know. Kabir is 13 years old and studies with me in Class 8 at St. Xavier’s School. He joined our school last year from Chandigarh, and we became friends during a science project. Kabir is very good in English and Science. He scored 95% in his last term exams, and our teacher praised him in front of the whole class. What makes Kabir special is that he loves to write poems and short stories. His poem “The Sky That Dreams” was published in the school magazine and even got selected for a young writers’ contest in Delhi. He wants to become an author when he grows up.
