2-Minute Speech on Time
‘Good morning respected ma’am and classmates, today, I would like to present my views on time. Time is a complex concept to measure the duration of events and the sequence in which they happen. We use different units of time, such as seconds, minutes, hours, days, years, etc. All these units are used to track the passage of time.
However, time is not just about measuring the duration of events. Peter Henlein, a 16th-century German locksmith and clockmaker invented the watch. His efforts to craft a portable watch made it possible for us to measure time.
Time is measurable, but not controllable. Time is like a burning candle. The flame represents our life force, slowly burning down with each passing moment. But there is one difference, which can teach us how to manage time. In a candle, we can’t add more wax, but we can choose how brightly we want the flame to burn. This comparison focuses on the finite nature of life and the importance of living each moment to the fullest.
‘Every day, hour, minute and second of our life is important. Once a time is gone, it’s gone. Therefore, time management and using time wisely are very important. Time can be managed by setting goals, prioritizing tasks, and then systematically implementing them. Work, studies, family, and health are the things on which we must spend our time rather than randomly scrolling on social media and wasting our precious time.’
‘So, at last, I would like to conclude by saying that time is very precious. Let’s not wait for the perfect moment to start living. Let’s seize the present, use our time wisely, and create a life filled with moments we can treasure forever.
Thank you!’
