The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has released its list of top colleges, overall, and in various fields, as of June 05, 2023. The authorities release these rankings based on a lot of evaluative factors, such as the facilities of the colleges; acceptance rate; placement records; and many more. NIRF Rankings are released every year, allowing recognition to Indian universities at a global level, and sharing credibility to colleges for their academic curriculum. About NIRF Rankings
The Ministry of Education, Government of India, approved the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) as a ranking technique to evaluate Indian higher education institutions. On September 29, 2015, the framework was introduced by the Minister after receiving approval from the former Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Institutions have been categorised into 11 different groups based on their functional areas, including universities, colleges, engineering, management, pharmacy, law, medical, architecture, dental, and research. The Framework ranks items based on a number of factors, including research, stakeholder perception, and available resources. These parameters were divided into five groups, and each cluster was given a specific amount of weight.
