There are three stages of the UPSC exam; Prelims, Mains, and Interview. Prelims and Mains exams are written exams.   • Candidates will face 100 questions that carry 2 marks each.
  • Questions will be multiple choice questions.
  • Total duration is 120 mins
  • You need to score equal to or more than the cut off score.
  • There is a negative marking system, so you need to answer carefully.

UPSC Exam Pattern for Prelims Paper 2

Below, we have mentioned the important points of the upsc exam pattern for Paper 2 of the Prelims exam.

  • Candidates will face 80 questions that carry 2.5 marks each.
  • Questions will be MCQ, so you will have 4 options to choose from.
  • Total duration is 120 minutes.
  • This paper is just qualifying in nature and marks of this paper won’t be added in the final score.
