UGC NET examination is basically conducted to determine the eligible students for the post of Assistant Professor or for awarding Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. UGC NET Result 2024- Minimum Qualifying Marks

To qualify for the UGC NET 2023 exam, candidates must obtain minimum qualifying marks. The minimum qualifying marks vary based on the candidate’s category. For General category candidates, the minimum qualifying marks are 40%, while candidates from OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PWD categories require a minimum of 35% to pass the exam. The cutoff marks may vary depending on factors such as the number of candidates and the difficulty level of the exam.

Candidates who achieve the minimum qualifying marks or above will be considered eligible for Assistant Professor or JRF and Assistant Professor positions.
