Sikkim TET Eligibility Criteria 2023

Sikkim TET is one of the Teacher Eligibility Tests and is the minimum required qualification in the country to become a professional teacher. Appearing for Sikkim TET or any other equivalent exam is mandatory to become a qualified teacher in any government-sponsored school in India. The candidates who want to apply for the Sikkim TET exams and want to make their career in the teaching sector have to go through certain eligibility criteria. The candidates who are applying for the Sikkim TET exam can check the eligibility criteria for 2023 mentioned below:

Primary Teachers ( I-V Class)

Candidates must have complete senior 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks or appear in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)/Two-year diploma in education (D.El.Ed)/2-year diploma in Education (Special Education)

Bachelor’s Degree in BA /B.Sc passed with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed qualified candidates can also apply for the examination.

Upper Primary Classes ( VI-VIII Class)

Candidates must have a Graduation degree in B.A/ B.Sc with a minimum of 50% marks and also must have B.Ed from a recognized university.

Candidates appearing in the final 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / B.A.(Ed)/ B.Ed B.Sc (Ed.), (Special Education) with minimum 50% marks in BA/ B.Sc those candidates are eligible for Sikkim TET.

Age Limit

  • The candidate’s minimum age limit should be 21 years and the maximum age limit should be 35 years.
  • The reserved category SC/ST/PH candidates have a 5% age relaxation as per the board norms.

Sikkim TET 2023 Application Process

The HRDD has released tentative dates for the application form. The eligible candidates applying for the exam must fill out the forms when it will be released. The steps to fill out the application form for Sikkim TET are as follows:

  • The candidates must visit the official website of Sikkim TET
  • Then the next step is to “Apply Online”
  • After that, a screen will appear and on that, the candidates have to fill the form at the required area like personal details, educational qualification, contact details, email Id etc.
  • After that, the candidate has to upload the scanned photographs and signature which has to be in JPG format.
  • After successfully uploading the documents the candidates have to choose test centres.  The candidates can choose two test centres one of which is primary and secondary.
  • After choosing the centres, press on the next button then the payment option will appear and then the candidates can make the application payment through debit card/ credit card or through net banking.
  • Then after that candidates can click on the submit button.
  • Take the printout of the application form.

Application Fee

The fee for all the categories will be INR 400/-. The candidates can make the payment through a debit card/ credit card or through net banking.

Sikkim TET 2023 Admit Card

The admit card will be released by the official exam conducting authority. Students need to download their admit cards before appearing for the examination. The admit card includes all the important details like name, exam date, venue, etc.

How to Download Sikkim TET 2023 Admit Card

Students can download the Sikkim TET Admit Card 2023 by following the easy steps mentioned below.

  • Visit the official website of the Sikkim Human Resouce Development Department (SHRDD) 
  • Students need to click on the link available to download STET Paper I/Paper II Admit Card by clicking on the latest notifications link under the Careers tab.
  • Students need to log in using their credentials received at the time of application submission and then click on submit button after entering the credentials. 
  • The admit card for the Sikkim TET exam will appear on the screen. 
  • Download the admit card and take printouts for future reference.
