Assam State Level Eligibility Test is administered by the SLET commission on behalf of the government of Assam. The exam is conducted to fill assistant professor vacancies at Assam’s universities and colleges. The Assam SLET 2023 test was held on 19 March 2023. The exam officials released the application form for SLET 2023 on 7th November 2022. The results of the SLET 2023 exam will be published on its official website. SLET Eligibility Criteria 2023

The SLET commission sets the SLET eligibility criteria. Those candidates who meet these criteria must apply for the exam. There is no upper age limit and candidates from any part of India can apply for SLET. Let us look at the SLET eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates from the general category must have obtained a Master’s degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 55%.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST /PwD must have scored at least 50% marks in their masters.
  • Candidates who are in their final year can also apply for the SLET.
  • Candidates who have completed their PhD and their master’s exam were finished before 19 September 1991 are eligible for 5% aggregate marks relaxation.

SLET Exam Pattern 2023

According to the SLET exam pattern, there are two papers and the test is conducted in an offline mode. The candidates who are appearing for this exam must be well versed with the SLET Exam pattern. The test is divided into two parts Paper 1 and Paper 2. The best part is that there will be no negative markings on the exam.

SLET Paper-I consists of 50 Multiple choice questions(MCQs). The main purpose of this paper is to judge the applicant’s comprehension, reasoning, thinking abilities and general awareness. SLET Paper II consists of 100 Multiple choice questions. In this part of the paper, questions are from the subject chosen by the candidate. This paper assesses the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of the subject.

SLET Marking Pattern 2023

Assam SLET exam pattern and marking scheme are prescribed by the SLET Commission. For every correct answer, two marks will be awarded to the candidates. AS there is no negative marking, no marks will be deducted for wrong answers. The maximum score which a candidate can attain is 300. Candidates will get one hour to solve Paper I and 2 hours will be provided for Paper II.
