Karnataka TET Eligibility Criteria 2023: Age Limit, Qualification Details

Karnataka TET Eligibility Criteria is mandatory to fulfill by the candidates who want to appear in KARTET. It is an entrance examination conducted to recruit candidates for the vacant posts of teachers in the schools owned by Karnataka State. The Education Department of Karnataka conducts this exam annually. According to the Karnataka TET eligibility criteria mentioned in the official announcement of the exam, candidates should have a decent educational background.

On August 23, 2024, the KARTET 2024 Admit Card is expected to be made available on the official website. On September 3, 2024, the Karnataka TET 2024 exam will be held in two shifts. The shift times for the Karnataka TET 2024 are 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 02:00 PM to 04:30 PM.

Age Requirements

The required minimum age for the candidates to be eligible to appear for the KARTET exam is 18 years. The upper age limit for the candidates is 35 years. The students can apply for n number of times during this period.

Educational Qualifications

Qualification For Paper 1

👉 Candidates should have at least 50% marks in PUC or higher secondary education and should have at least completed their 2 years diploma in elementary education.

Or

👉 Candidates should have at least 50% marks in PUC or higher secondary education and should have at least completed four years of bachelor’s of Elementary Education.

Or 

👉 Candidates should have at least 50% marks in PUC or higher secondary education and should be in the final year of a special education diploma.

Or

👉 Candidates should have at least 50% marks in PUC or higher secondary education and should be in the final year of a diploma in elementary education

Qualification For Paper 2

👉 Candidates should have at least 50% marks in their graduation and should have at least completed their 2 years diploma in elementary education.

Or

👉 Candidates should have at least 50% marks in their graduation and should have at least completed four years of bachelor’s of Elementary Education.

Or 

👉 Candidates should have at least 50% marks in their graduation and should be in the final year of a special education diploma.

Reservations

Domicile

According to the reports, there is no specific eligibility based on the domicile of the candidates. Candidates from all over the country are eligible for the exam. There is no special entry for the candidates who are residing in the state. 

Karnataka TET Eligibility Certification Validity 

The Karnataka TET exam certification is valid for 7 years from the date of the Karnataka TET Results 2024. The candidates can use these scores for 7 years if under any circumstances they are not able to join the school for their jobs.

There is no maximum limit for the number of attempts accepted for the exam. Students can even attempt the entrance exam again in 7 years to improve their scores.
