Age

The required minimum age for the candidates to be eligible to appear for the KARTET exam is 18 years. The upper age limit for the candidates is 35 years. The students can apply for n number of times during this period.

Educational Qualifications

Refer to the table below for a detailed description of educational qualifications for different papers in the KARTET exam: 

Paper 1

Candidates should have at least 50% marks in PUC or higher secondary education and should have at least completed their 2 years diploma in elementary education.

Or

Candidates should have at least 50% marks in PUC or higher secondary education and should have at least completed four years of bachelor’s of Elementary Education.

Or 

Candidates should have at least 50% marks in PUC or higher secondary education and should be in the final year of a special education diploma.

Or

Candidates should have at least 50% marks in PUC or higher secondary education and should be in the final year of a diploma in elementary education

Paper 2

Candidates should have at least 50% marks in their graduation and should have at least completed their 2 years diploma in elementary education.

Or

Candidates should have at least 50% marks in their graduation and should have at least completed four years of bachelor’s of Elementary Education.

Or 

Candidates should have at least 50% marks in their graduation and should be in the final year of a special education diploma.

Or

Candidates should have at least 50% marks in their graduation and should be in the final year of a diploma in elementary education

Reservations

According to the reports, there is no specific eligibility based on the domicile of the candidates. Candidates from all over the country are eligible for the exam. There is no special entry for the candidates who are residing in the state. 

Karnataka TET Eligibility: Certification Validity 

The Karnataka TET exam certification is valid for 7 years from the date of the Karnataka TET Results 2023. The candidates can use these scores for 7 years if under any circumstances they are not able to join the school for their jobs.

There is no maximum limit for the number of attempts accepted for the exam. Students can even attempt the entrance exam again in 7 years to improve their scores.
