The responsibility of conducting and managing these entrance examinations is bestowed upon JCECEB by the government of Jharkhand. The Board holds this examination on a state level and various state-specific institutions take part in the admission procedure to enrol students in multiple courses like M.B.B.S., Forestry, Engineering, B.V.Sc. & A.H., Agriculture, Ayurvedic and Homeopathic degree Course. It releases the exam forms for various courses each year online on the official website.

Latest Updates
The JCECE Exam is conducted for various courses and the procedure for each course is different. The students can find the application link for Engineering Entrance Examination open till the 10th of April 2023. The examination will be conducted on the 29th of April 2023.
The counselling process for certain other courses is ongoing. The examination for these courses was conducted majorly in the month of December 2022.
Notification
For different examination processes, the JCECEB keeps releasing notifications throughout the year. December is the month when most of the application dates, examinations, results and counselling process were conducted. Some of the examinations are yet to be conducted and the notifications for the same released soon. Currently, the process of examination for Lateral Entries in the Engineering courses is ongoing.

The JCECE Exam is conducted to shortlist students for the various universities which are a part of JCECE Participating Universities/Colleges. In order to pass the examination and get admission to the best of these colleges the candidate needs to be well-versed in every topic in the syllabus. The JCECE Question Paper will be devised by the syllabus prescribed by CBSE for Class 11th and Class 12th. The syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics that is included in the JCECE Syllabus is written below.

Plant Physiology, Structural Organization in Animals and Plants, Diversity in the Living World, Cell: Structure and Functions, Human Physiology and Sexual Reproduction.
Mathematics
Sequences and Series, Complex Numbers, Binomial Theorem, Relations and Functions, Sets, Matrices and Determinants, Linear equations, Combinations and Permutations, Algebra, 3-D Geometry, Trigonometry, Integration and Differentiation, Vectors, Statistics, Differential Equations, Circles, Lines and Conic sections.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility requirements are also specific to the subjects or courses that a student is willing to pursue. The general requirements for the JCECE Exam are given below.
- The student must be in a domicile of Jharkhand with residence proof.
- The applicant must be between the ages of 17 – 22 years. However, there is no age limit for the BHMS or B.Sc. courses.
- For courses such as Animal Husbandry and Bachelor of Veterinary Science, the upper age limit is extended to 25 years.
- Candidates have to undergo a medical test before the exam as only physically fit candidates are allowed for the coursework.
- The qualifying marks for the JCECE exam 2023 are 45% for the general category and 40% for the candidates from the reserved category.

Application Process
The application process for the JCECE Exam 2023 has to be completed online. The candidates must however check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The application fees will also be paid online with Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking. The complete process of application is mentioned below.
- Visit the official website of JCECEB.
- The instructions first appear on the screen, which should be read carefully.
- Click proceed to fill out the application form.
- Enter all academic details and personal information on the form.
- Create a strong password and enter the chosen security questions for the exam.
- An application number is sent to the candidate, which should be preserved.
- Login again using the Application number and password.
- Upload documents such as photographs and a signature.
- A thumb impression of the left thumb is also required.

JCECE Exam Admit Card 2023
The JCECE Exam 2023 Admit Card has to be carried in a hard copy to the JCECE Exam Centres. No entry is possible without the JCECE Exam Admit Card. The admit card can be downloaded online from the official website of JCECEB till the date of examination in the following way.
- Open the JCECE Official Website.
- Click on JCECE Admit Card link in the notifications.
- Provide the necessary information for the exam admit card.

Selection Process
The JCECE Selection Process involves various steps of Merit Lists, Cutoffs and other requirements the basics required for the selection process of the JCECE Exam 2023 are as follows.
- There is a separate cutoff for every course.
- Candidates who have ranks falling under the cutoff can come for the application process.
- The student must be a domicile of Jharkhand, must fulfil the eligibility criteria and must have attained the minimum cutoff for the exam.

Counselling Process
The JCECE Counselling Process 2023 will be conducted online by the JCECE Board. The counselling is conducted in various rounds over a period of days in various slots. The shortlisted candidates are called for counselling based on their ranks and performance in the JCECE Entrance Exam. The process is based on the multi-table parallel counselling method in a computerised mode.
