The ILICAT 2023 examination will be tentatively held in April-May 2023. The official dates for the ILICAT examination are yet to be notified. It is a pen and paper-based examination and it will be conducted offline.

ILICAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria
A candidate willing to apply for the ILICAT 2023 must know the pre-decided criteria set by the exam conducting authority. The basic criteria must be fulfilled by each candidate willing to give the examination. Any candidate who does not meet the eligibility criteria will be disqualified for the ILICAT 2023 examination immediately.
The list given below shows the educational qualifications of the candidates willing to take admission into PhD and LLM programs. Students must go through the pointers diligently.
- For LLM: Candidate must have an LLB degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate from any recognised university/college/institution under The Bar Council of India (BCI).
- PhD: Candidates must have an LLM degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate from any authorized university/college/institution recognised by The Bar Council of India (BCI).
- Candidate having a Law degree from a recognized foreign institution with at least 50% marks or equivalent as stated by Association of Indian University (AIU) guidelines.
- Candidates waiting for the results of the last semester/year examination are also eligible for application.
- Candidates appearing for the last semester/year examination are also eligible for application.
- Candidates from Kashmir, he/she are provided with a 10% relaxation in aggregate.
- Candidates from Kashmir having 40% marks are eligible for ILICAT 2023 application.
- Students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST), and Physically Handicapped (PH) are offered 5% marks relaxation. Students belonging to all these categories must have at least 45% marks in aggregate.
After the candidates have qualified for all the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Indian Law Institute for ILICAT 2023, he/she can apply for the examination. The candidate can fill out the forms after they fulfil the eligibility criteria. Candidates must make sure they can fill in all the details in the application form without making any mistakes.
