GITAM GAT 2023 phase 4 was conducted on 18th June by the officials of the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management. The last date to apply for GITAM GAT 2023 phase 4 was 16th June 2023. The GITAM Admission Test, commonly known as GAT or GITAM GAT is an online entrance test for admissions to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs such as Architecture, Science, Engineering, Humanities, Law, Management, Nursing, Paramedical, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy. Candidates qualifying for this exam will be eligible to get admission to one of the courses offered at the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM).

There are a total of 3 campuses of GITAM at Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The dates for GAT 2023 have been released on GITAM’s official website. In this blog, we will tell you all about the GITAM GAT 2023 exam.

GITAM GAT Latest Updates 

The last date to apply for GITAM GAT 2023 phase 4 was on 16th June 2023. Phase 4 was organised on 18th June 2023 at various exam centres. Students interested in taking this exam can fill out the application form which will be released soon on the official website of GITAM. 

• Phase 4 of the GITAM GAT 2023 will take place on June 18.
• On June 3 and 4, the GITAM GAT phase 3 examination will take place.
• Before May 31, candidates can register for GITAM GAT phase 3.
• From April 28 to 30, the government administered the GITAM GAT 2023 phase 2 exam.
• GITAM GAT 2023 counselling took place from April 6 to April 15.
• Phase 1 of the GITAM GAT 2023 results was released on April 4.
• Examination dates for the GITAM GAT 2023 were March 31–April 3, 2023.
• The GITAM GAT 2023 test date has been made public. The date for the GAT 2023 phase 4 is 18th June 2023.

Exam Pattern 

The GAT exam pattern has been released by the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) on its official website. The institute releases the exam pattern every year to ensure that the candidates have updated information about the exam. The candidates are advised to look out for the updated exam pattern because it carries important details regarding the exam such as marking scheme, duration of the examination, types of questions, etc. 

Below are some points which the students can follow to know about the exam pattern: 

• The exam will be conducted for 2 hours and it will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQ). 
• There will be 3 sections containing objective questions only. 

Eligibility Criteria 

The candidates appearing for the GITAM GAT should keep the eligibility criteria in mind that are fixed by the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management. The eligibility criteria are given below: 

• The candidates should be a citizen of India. 
• The candidates should have completed their 12th class examination in 2021. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in 2023 are also eligible for this exam. 
• The candidates should have secured at least 60% aggregate marks or CGPA (55% in the case of CBSE and ICSE).

Application Process

Candidates who are applying for the GITAM GAT 2023 phase 4 should be aware that the last date to apply for the exam for all the programs was 16th June 2023. The candidates are advised to check the official website for any other updates regarding the application process. Students can apply for the exam by filling in the application form which is available on the official website. The application process involves registration, filling out an application form, submitting the mandatory documents and paying the application fee. 

A detailed application process is given below for reference purposes: 

• The applicants need to register themselves on the official website of GITAM GAT. The applications can be filled in both online and offline modes. 
• For online mode, the candidates have to visit the official website and click on the ‘New Applicant’ button. The students are supposed to complete the GITAM GAT 2023 registration process by entering details like name, email address and mobile number.
• Once the registration is done, the applicants need to book slots for GITAM GAT. The applicants then need to book their preferred date, time and centre.  
• After submitting all the required documents, the students can make the payment of the application form and thus, their admit card will be generated. Students are advised to download their admit card and also take out a hard copy. 
• For offline mode, the students have to visit the website and download the application form by registering themselves. The students can fill out the application carefully and attach all the required documents to it. To give the application fee, students can attach a demand draft and post it to the university address.

Admit Card

Candidates appearing for the GITAM GAT 2023 can download their admit card from the official website of GITAM GAT. Candidates can log in with their registered email and password and download the admit card. The admit card will have all the necessary details such as the candidate’s name, address, contact details, date of exam, centre name, etc. 

It is mandatory for the candidates to bring their admit cards to the examination centre. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the examination without their admit card. 

How to Prepare for GITAM GAT?

The Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management Admission Test (GITAM GAT) is an online computer-based test. As this entrance test is conducted all over India, thousands of students appear for it. Although the competition is tough, with determination, good preparation and hard work, students will be able to crack this exam. 

Students appearing for the test can follow the below steps to prepare well for this examination:

• Students appearing for the entrance exam need to start their preparation as early as possible. If the candidates start their preparation early, it will not only give them enough time to prepare well but will also give them time to revise the syllabus. 
• The most important thing while preparing for this exam is to brush up on the concepts, formulas and fundamental concepts. One way to achieve this is to solve previous year’s question papers and mock papers.

Answer Key

The answer key will be officially released by GITAM University. The answer key helps the students in calculating their probable score and performance in the GITAM GAT examination. Apart from this, the students will also know their chances of getting admission to the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM). 

The answer key will contain answers to the questions. The candidates can compare their answers with the ones mentioned in the answer key to get an estimate of the probable score in their GITAM GAT 2023.

• The candidate will have to click on ‘GITAM GAT Answer Key 2023’ to view the answer key.

GITAM GAT Result

The result date will be announced by the GITAM university and the result will be available on the official website. Students who have appeared for the exam can check their results by entering their hall ticket number and date of birth. The result will be followed by the counselling session. The dates for the same will be announced shortly. 

Students can follow these simple steps to download and view their results and avoid any last-minute inconvenience. The steps to downloading the results are as follows:

• Candidates have to visit the official website of GITAM and click on ‘GAT-2023 Result’. 
• After clicking on the link, the candidates will be taken to a new page. 
• The candidates will have to enter their hall ticket number and their date of birth. 
• After submitting the details, the candidates will be able to view their results. The score and ranks will be displayed. 
• It is advised to the candidates to download the result and take a printed copy of it for future reference. It will also be useful at the time of the counselling session. 

GITAM GAT Cut-off

The cut-off is a way to shortlist candidates for admission into GITAM. It will be released after the declaration of results. The cut-off list is set based on the lower limit and the highest limit of the marks that are scored in that particular year. 

Students can refer to the points given below to check to the cut-off list: 

• Visit the official website of GITAM. 
• Click on the link that says ‘ Result of GITAM GAT 2023’. 
• On the result page, there will be a cut-off option available. 
• Click on the option and enter the required details. Now the cut-off list will be available for the candidates and they can download it or take out a printout of the same for future reference.

The cut-off list will depend on the number of candidates who appeared for the exam in that particular year. It will also be determined by the highest score and the lowest score obtained by candidates that year. The number of vacant seats for different departments also determines the cut-off score.  

Counselling Process

The counselling process will be conducted by the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management. The counselling session will be held on seven campuses across the state and it will be conducted in online mode. At the counselling session, the authority conducts a document verification process to confirm the candidate’s eligibility for admission into their university.

Students are required to have the following documents at the time of their counselling session:

• Counselling Call Letter issued by the university 
• 10+2 mark sheets and pass certificates
• Medical Certificate from a Civil Surgeon (in case of Physically Handicapped Candidates) 
• Transfer certificate
