The Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) is a national-level entrance examination for the Company Secretary (CS) by ICSI. This entrance exam is conducted four times a year, i.e. January, May, July and November. The exam is conducted by online mode for a duration of 120 minutes.

As per the latest updates, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) will conduct their 21st batch of online classes for CSEET for May 2023 intake from 16th February 2023. The classes are estimated to end by 22nd March 2023. CSEET Exam Pattern
The examination will contain MCQs based and will be conducted in online mode for a duration of 120 minutes. The candidates will be allotted test centres and it will be a computer-based test. The syllabus of CSEET comprises mainly four papers. Candidates applying for the examination can refer to the table given below.

Apart from the given table, there will also be a Viva Voce of 15 minutes on “Presentation and Communication Skills”. The viva voce will be for 30 marks and conducted simultaneously with or immediately after the MCQ. The candidates appearing for the test should keep in mind that the test will be examined online using artificial intelligence (AI) or through the recorded videos designated at the test centres.

CSEET Eligibility Criteria
The candidates appearing for the CSEET should keep in mind the eligibility criteria that is set by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). Candidates applying for the test should be Indian citizens. NRIs or Foreign Nationals are not eligible.
- The candidates should be passed or should be appearing in the Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination.
- Aspirants who are graduates or post-graduates are eligible for registration directly to the CS Executive Programme. These candidates are required to pass the CSEET to become eligible for registration to the Executive Programme.
- The candidates who have passed the CS Foundation Programme will be exempted from the CSEET. They are not supposed to pay any fee for the same.
- Those candidates who have passed the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) are exempted from the CSEET. They will be required to pay INR 5000 towards the exemption fee at the time of Registration to the CS Executive Programme.
CSEET Application Process
Candidates appearing for the examination can follow a simple application procedure which is mentioned below:
- The students are required to visit the official website of CSEET 2023.
- There will be a registration column. Students are required to click on that and fill in their details such as qualification, Aadhar card number, name, gender, category, date of birth, nationality, mobile number, email address and the CSEET exam centre.
- A fee details section will also be available next to the registration section. Students are supposed to pay once the application is completed.
- Students are supposed to also submit the required documents in the required format.
- In the final step, the students are supposed to submit all the documents, pay the application fee and submit.
- It is also advised to the candidates to download and take out a copy of the application form.
CSEET Exam Admit Card
Candidates appearing for the examination can download their admit card by entering their login credentials issued at the time of registration. It is mandatory for all the candidates to carry their admit card with valid government-issued id proof to the examination centre. Candidates can refer below to know how to download the admit card:
- Students will be required to visit the official website of ICSI CSEET.
- An ‘Admit Card’ link will be visible. Click on that.
- Students will be now required to enter their registration number and date of birth to log in.
- The admit card will be visible and students are advised to download it.

CSEET Exam Cut-off
The cut-off list for CSEET 2023 will be released soon. Students can refer to the official website to know the cut-off details. However, candidates can refer to the previous year’s cut-off score to get an idea. The candidates are required to score minimum marks to qualify for the CS Executive program. The qualifying cutoff score for the CSEET 2023 is mentioned below:
- The candidates should obtain a minimum of 40% marks in all four papers.
- The candidate should also obtain a minimum score of 50% in aggregate.
