AIC Exam Eligibility Criteria 2023: Age Limit, Qualification Details

India’s Agriculture Insurance Company (AIC) holds a national-level offline recruitment test for the Management Trainee position. To be eligible, applicants must pass an Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) based exam. The AIC Exam is conducted every two years, providing an excellent chance for graduates and postgraduates to join the organization. Besides, one can only apply for the exam if they fulfil the AIC Exam Eligibility Criteria. 

Interested candidates must register online at www.aicofindia.com. Hence, after qualifying for the recruitment test, they proceed to the face-to-face interview round.

AIC Exam Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

Before applying for the post, all candidates must meet certain criteria, known as AIC Management Trainee Eligibility. The age limit which the candidates have to follow is mentioned below:

• The candidate’s age should range from 21 to 30 years as of January 1, 2023. 
• The candidates must also have been born between January 1, 1993, and December 31, 2001. 

Relaxation in Age

Some categories are provided relaxation in the age. These categories and the subsequent relaxation offered are mentioned below.

Nationality

An applicant must fall into one of the following categories of Nationality:

• The applicant should be an Indian citizen.
• The applicant could be a citizen of Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India prior to January 1, 1962, with the purpose of establishing permanent residence.
• The applicant might be of Indian origin and have relocated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries like Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of settling permanently in India.

AIC Exam Eligibility Criteria: Qualification Details

The AIC eligibility criteria are influenced by multiple aspects, and one significant factor is the candidate’s educational qualifications. Individuals who meet the educational prerequisites provided below are qualified to submit their applications for the recruitment process.

Here are the detailed educational qualification prerequisites for AIC Eligibility in 2023:

• For Agriculture Sciences: B.Sc. (Agriculture)/ B.Sc. (Horticulture)/ B.E./B.Tech in Agriculture Engineering with a minimum of 60% Marks (55% Marks for SC/ST), or M.Sc. (Agriculture) with at least 60% Marks.
• For Information Technology: BE/B. Tech (Computer Science/IT) with a minimum of 60% Marks (55% Marks for SC/ST), or MCA (Masters in Computer Applications) with a minimum of 60% Marks.
• For Legal: Graduation in Law with a minimum of 60% Marks (55% for SC/ST), or Post Graduation in Law with a minimum of 60% Marks.
• For Accounts: B.Com with at least 60% Marks (55% Marks for SC/ST), or M.Com with a minimum of 60% Marks (55% Marks for SC/ST), or Chartered Accountants (ICAI) or Company Secretary (ICSI) or Cost and Management Accountant (The Institute of Cost Accountants of India), or MBA (Finance).

In addition to meeting the AIC Eligibility Criteria, candidates must keep in mind the following key points:

• If an applicant falls within a reserved category, they must provide the necessary caste/tribe/disability certificate during the verification phase.
• Alongside satisfying the eligibility criteria, candidates should attain scores higher than the AIC Management Trainee cut-off marks to be considered for shortlisting.
• When requested by the commission, candidates are required to present the original documents submitted during the application process.
