Here are some interesting facts about Charminar you might have never known before and should go through before visiting the monument for real:-

1. In remembrance of his queen Bhagmati, it was thought that King QuliQutub Shah built the Charminar to mark the end of a plague.
2.  A secret tunnel links Charminar and Golconda Fort, but no one knows where the tunnel is located.
3. On the top of one of the small bends on the eastern side of one of the arches, if you examine it closely, you will probably notice a cat’s head.

4. It is one of the oldest monuments, dating back to 450 years.
5. In addition to being a well-known landmark in Hyderabad, the Charminar was the city’s first multi-story structure.

6. Since it was built in the heart of the city, it is considered to be the centre of Hyderabad.

7. It has four arches, or minarets, and each minaret is divided into four parts.
