Good morning to all. My name is Reeva Raj and my topic for the English-speaking task is Speech on Make in India and I shall try to do justice to this topic. Make in India was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 25, 2014, in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The aim was to attract the top business investors around the globe to invest in India, providing an opportunity to all investors to set up their businesses, including manufacturing, textiles, automobiles, production, retail, chemicals, IT, ports, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, tourism, healthcare, railways, leather, etc. in the country.

The motive behind this campaign is to make India a world-class powerhouse, which will help in addressing the larger issue of the Indian economy. Some initiatives which come under Make in India are Digital India, Start-up India Initiative, Skill India Program and smart cities.

Make in India will help to make India free from unemployment by bringing development and growth. This policy is an urgent need. It can bring down poverty rates in India to a great level by solving the unemployment issue for youths. Thus, the country’s economy will achieve a new height after the success of this campaign.

Make in India was started by prime minister Narendra Modi on September 25, 2014, in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The symbol of Make in India (derived from the national emblem of India) is a huge lion with many wheels (indicating the path of peaceful progress and a bright future). A lion with multiple wheels indicates courage, strength, and intelligence.

This attractive scheme is for foreign companies to set up manufacturing powerhouses in India as India has a resource-rich proposal. To make India a global hub for trade (from satellite to submarine, from car to software, from medicinal to port, from paper to energy, etc.), with the improvement of the digital network market in the country, Indian is focusing on building effective physical infrastructure. This national program has been designed to transform the country into a global trading hub as it has attractive offers for local and foreign companies. In order to improve the condition of the youth of the country, the focus of this campaign is to generate a large number of valuable and respected jobs along with enhancing skills in about 25 sectors. This includes automobiles, aviation industry, chemicals, IT and BPM, pharmaceutical, construction, power-related machines, food processing, defence, manufacturing, space, textiles, textile industries, ports, leather, media and entertainment, health, mining, tourism and hospitality, Railways, automobile components, renewable energy, biotechnology, roads and highways, electronic bodies and thermal energy.

Successful implementation of this scheme will help in building hundred smart city projects and affordable houses in India. Its main goal is to generate solid growth and valuable employment in the country with the help of major investors. This scheme will benefit both sides, both investors and our country. The Indian government has created an online portal (makeinindia.com) and a dedicated support team for effective and easy communication of investors. The scheme “Made in India” has been a successful attempt towards the development and growth of the country. So, we should support it.
