Present Continuous Tense in Hindi: प्रेजेंट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस (Present Continuous Tense), जिसे प्रेजेंट प्रोग्रेसिव टेंस (Present Progressive Tense) भी कहा जाता है, का उपयोग किसी कार्य या घटना को व्यक्त करने के लिए किया जाता है जो वर्तमान समय में जारी है, यानी वह क्रिया अभी हो रही है या कुछ समय से चल रही है। यह टेंस किसी कार्य की निरंतरता (Continuity) को दर्शाता है, जो वर्तमान में सक्रिय रूप से हो रही है। इस टेंस के वाक्यों के अंत में ‘रहा है’, ‘रही है’, ‘रहे हैं’ का प्रयोग होता है।

प्रेजेंट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस क्या है?

प्रेजेंट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस (Present Continuous Tense) वह काल है, जिसका उपयोग किसी क्रिया या घटना को व्यक्त करने के लिए किया जाता है, जो वर्तमान समय में अभी हो रही हो या जो एक निश्चित अवधि से चल रही हो। यह टेंस कार्य की निरंतरता को दर्शाता है, यानी क्रिया वर्तमान समय में लगातार या अस्थायी रूप से हो रही होती है। ध्यान दें कि प्रेजेंट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस (Present Continuous Tense in Hindi) के वाक्यों का अंत चुका है, चुकी है, रही है, रहा है, रहे हैं, रहा हूँ, रही हूँ जैसे शब्दों से होता हैं।

प्रेजेंट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस में क्रिया (Verb)

प्रेजेंट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस (Present Continuous Tense in Hindi) में वर्ब (Verb) की फोर्थ फॉर्म (V4) के साथ +ing का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

जैसे: going, eating, singing, working, dancing, sleeping, playing, crying आदि।

• Mohan is writing a letter.
• The carpenter is making a chair.
• He is running in the field.
• I am reading a book.
• She is playing with her doll.
• The cow is not grazing grass.
• Ram is not playing in the field.
• They are going to market.
• Sweta is eating food.

Helping Werb

प्रेजेंट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस (Present Continuous Tense in Hindi) में Is/Am/Are helping verb का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

• Is का प्रयोग थर्ड पर्सन सिंगुलर नंबर (He, She, It, Name) के साथ किया जाता है।
• Am का प्रयोग सिर्फ I के साथ किया जाता है।
• Are का प्रयोग फर्स्ट पर्सन प्लुरल (We), सेकंड पर्सन (You) और थर्ड पर्सन प्लुरल नंबर (They) के साथ किया जाता है।

प्रेजेंट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस में वाक्यों की पहचान कैसे करें?

• Subject+is/am/are+V4.
• Subject+is/am/are+V4+Object.

Subject किसे कहते हैं?

किसी भी वाक्य में कार्य करने वाला सब्जेट होता हैं। जैसे: राम आम खाता है, इस वाक्य में “राम” आम खा रहा है इसलिए “राम” सब्जेक्ट है “खाना” क्रिया है और “आम” ऑब्जेक्ट है।

Verb किसे कहते हैं?

किसी भी वाक्य में सब्जेक्ट के द्वारा जिस कार्य को किया जाता है उसे क्रिया कहते है जैसे: खाना, खेलना, गाना, रोना, नहाना आदि। सामान्यत: Verb की पांच फॉर्म होती हैं लेकिन इस टेंस में Verb की सिर्फ थर्ड फॉर्म का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

Object किसे कहते हैं?

सब्जेक्ट द्वारा किसी कार्य को करने से क्रिया का असर जिस पर पड़ता है उसे ऑब्जेक्ट कहते हैं।

प्रेजेंट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस में सेंटेंस के प्रकार

प्रेजेंट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस में 4 प्रकार के सेंटेंस होते हैं:

Present Continuous Tense – Affirmative Sentence 

हिंदी वाक्य	अंग्रेजी वाक्य (Subject + am / are / is + V1 + ing + Object)
वह जा रहा हूँ।	He is going.
हमलोग पढ़ रहे हैं।	We are reading.
वह स्कूल जा रहे हो।	He is going to school.
सान्या खाना बना रही है।	Sanya is cooking food.
वह कल आ रही है।	She is coming tomorrow.
मैं कल एक स्कूटी खरीद रहा हूँ।	I am buying a Scooty tomorrow.

Present Continuous Tense – Affirmative Sentences एक्सरसाइज

• मैं पढ़ रहा हूँ।
  I am reading.
• श्याम लिख रहा है।
  Shyam is writing.
• वह टहल रही है।
  She is walking.
• लड़के हल्ला कर रहे हैं।
  The boys are making a noise.
• सीता प्रतीक्षा कर रही है।
  Sita is waiting.
• वह काम कर रहा है।
  He is working.
• वह रो रहा है।
  He is crying.
• तुम्हारे बच्चे सड़क पर दौड़ रहे हैं।
  Your children are running on road.
• वह आजकल फ्रेंच सीख रही है।
  She is learning French these days.
• सीता कल आ रही है।

• मैं अगले वर्ष लंदन जा रहा हूँ।

Present Continuous Tense – Negative Sentence

हिंदी वाक्य	अंग्रेजी वाक्य (Subject + am / are / is + not + V1 + ing + Object)
मैं हँस नहीं रहा हूँ।	I am not laughing.
मैं रो नहीं कर रहा हूँ।	I am not crying.
हम घर नहीं जा रहे हैं।	We are not going home.
सीता सो नहीं रही है।	Sita is not sleeping.
बच्चे नहीं खेल रहे हैं।	The children are not playing.
मैं खाना नहीं बना रही हूँ।	I am not cooking food.

Note : इस tense के negative sentence में – are + not के बदले aren’t तथा is + not के बदले isn’t भी लिख सकते हैं।

• कुत्ता रात में नहीं भौंक रहा है।
  The dog is not barking at night.
• तुम कल वहाँ नहीं जा रहे हो।
  You are not going there tomorrow.
• राम अगले वर्ष गाड़ी खरीदने नहीं जा रहा है।
  Ram is not going to buy a car next year.
• नेहा मंगलवार को नहीं आ रहीं है।
  Neha is not coming on Tuesday.
• हवा नहीं बह रही है।
  Air is not blowing.
• लड़के हल्ला नहीं कर रहे हैं।
  The boys are not making a noise.

Present Continuous Tense- Interrogative Sentence

हिंदी वाक्य	अंग्रेजी वाक्य [am / are / is + Subject + V1 + ing + Object + ? Or, Wh Family (What / When / Why / Where / How) + am / are / is + Subject + V1 + ing + Object + ?]
क्या मैं खा रहा हूँ ?	Am I eating ?
क्या राम पढ़ रहा है ?	Is Ram reading ?
क्या तुम कल प्राचार्य से मिल रहे हो ?	Are you meeting the principal tomorrow ?
क्या सीता आम खा रही है ?	Is Sita eating an apple ?
क्या तुम कर रहे हो ?	Are you doing ?
तुम क्या कर रहे हो ?	What are you doing ?
राम कहाँ जा रहा है ?	Where is Ram going ?
तुम नयी गाड़ी कब खरीदने जा रहे हो ?	When are you going to buy a new car ?
वह कैसे अगले हफ्ते आ रही है ?	How is she coming next week ?

Note :

• Present continuous tense का हिंदी वाक्य जब ‘क्या‘ से शुरू हो तो वाक्य का अंग्रेजी अनुवाद am/is/are से शुरू करें। am/is/are के बाद Subject दें, तब V¹ + ing (verb 4th form) + अन्य पद दें।
• जब ‘क्या‘ subject के बाद रहता है, तो What का प्रयोग am/is/are के पहले होता है।
• जब इस tense के प्रश्नात्मक वाक्यों में कब, क्यों, कहाँ, कैसे इत्यादि रहें तो अनुवाद करने के लिए सबसे पहले इनकी अंग्रेजी दें। उसके तुरंत बाद कर्त्ता (subject) के वचन (number) के अनुसार am/is/are दें ; पुनः Subject दें और तब Verb का 4th form (V-ing) दें।

• क्या तुम खा रहे हो ?
  Are you eating ?
• क्या वह पढ़ रहा है ?
  Is he reading ?
• क्या राम कल एक गाड़ी खरीद रहा है ?

• वह क्या कर रही है ?
  What is she doing ?
• गीता कब आ रही है ?
  When is Geeta coming ?
• तुम इसे कैसे कर रहे हो ?

• तुम क्या करने जा रहे हो ?

Present Continuous Tense- Negative Interrogative Sentence

क्या मैं नहीं खा रहा हूँ।	Am I not eating ?
क्या राम किताब नहीं पढ़ रहा है ?	Is Ram not reading a book ?
क्या बच्चे नहीं दौड़ रहे हैं ?	Are the children not running ?
क्या तुम सोने नहीं जा रहे हो ?	Are you not going to sleep ?
मैं खाना क्यों नहीं खा रहा हूँ ?	Why am I not eating food ?
सीता गाना गाने क्यों नहीं जा रही है ?	Why is Sita not going to sing a song ?
तुम क्या नहीं कर रहे हो ?	What are you not doing ?

नोट : इस tense के Negative Interrogative Sentence में ‘not’ को Subject के पहले isn’t/aren’t के रूप में भी दे सकते हैं। ध्यान दें की ‘I’ के साथ भी aren’t ही लगेगा।
