The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is a public exploration university in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. The university was developed from a Birmingham extension centre set up in 1936 and became a four-year institution in 1966 and a completely independent university within the University of Alabama System in 1969. The University of Alabama at Birmingham is authorized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission for all its courses and degrees. UAB is also granted an official report that they finished the reaffirmation procedure in 2015. Their coming reaffirmation will be in 2025. In the 2022 U.S. News & World Report rankings, the University of Alabama at Birmingham was tied for the 148th best national university and was ranked tied for the 67th best public university. Infrastructure, Campuses, and Courses
The University of Alabama at Birmingham is located in the Southside neighbourhood of Birmingham in Alabama. In February 2021, UAB was honoured as the highest Producing Institution for Fulbright US Scholars for the 5th year, out of 6 times.
