History, Affiliations and Rankings
The Universidad Catolica San Antonio (UCAM), is a private university. It is located in the city of Murcia, Southeast Spain. UCAM, Murcia is the brainchild of founder and president Jose Luis Mendoza Perez. It was established in the year 1996. UCAM Murcia is firmly committed to Catholic orthodoxy and it is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cartagena. UCAM is accredited by ANECA (National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain) and the Ministry of Education, the government of Spain. In the year 2022, UCAM, Murcia secured a 1001-1200th position in Times Higher Education ranking and #1540 in US News and World Report ranking list and QS four-star rating.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
The Los Jeronimos campus is the headquarter of the San Antonio de Murcia Catholic University (UCAM). It is spread over 25000 square meters of which 14000 square meters area are built. The campus is consist of spacious and luminous academic infrastructure including classrooms, a library, an assembly hall, computer and multimedia rooms, laboratories, a meeting space, a sports area and a cafeteria plus dining rooms. There is a similarly another campus of UCAM Murcia with all state of the art facility in Cartagena campus, Vocational School, UCAM Online, UCAM Spanish Sports University, John Paul II International Institue and Madrid campus. UCAM Murcia offers academic programs in three categories programs English, Program in Spanish and Preparatory program. University offers 7 undergraduate programs, 12 postgraduate programs, 10 short-term courses, 3 online master's degree programs, 6 programs under the study abroad category and 4 PhD programs.
Accomplishments and Alumni
UCAM, Murcia is known as the “University of Sports” in Spain. It has a history of producing world-class athletes. UCAM athletes have so far bagged 11 gold, 20 silver and 12 bronze medals in the Olympics games. Miguel Angel Lopez- Spanish Racewalker, Jessica Vall- Spanish Swimmer, Fatima Galvez- Spanish Shooter, Ana Carrasco- Spanish Motoracer, Xavier Hernanz- Spanish Sprinter.

Out of a total of 21000 students UCAM host 12% (approximately 2520) of students belonging to the international community. The graduate from UCAM, Murcia students get placed in the mentioned companies namely Capgemini, Accenture, Deloitte, EY, ELPOZO ALIEMENTACION, Soltec, SPRINTER, Junta de Andalucia, Quironsalud, Telefonics etc.
