History, Affiliations, and Rankings
Toronto Film School started in 2001, and it was acquired by RCCIT in 2009 adding film production, scriptwriting for film and tv, and acting for tv, stage, and film programs to its course offerings. Toronto film school has international partnerships with prestigious international institutions like Beijing film academy and Shanghai theatre academy for student and faculty exchanges, workshops, and collaborations. QS world rankings have given a ranking of 462 to Toronto film school
Infrastructure, Campuses, and Courses
The school has a total of 4 campuses in an urban setting. The campuses are Steele's campus, Davisville campus, Dundas A, and C campus. Officially there are no clubs or societies but the students involve themselves with hands-on projects to get real-time experience. The school offers a total of 8 diploma programs in acting for Film, TV & Theatre, Film Production, Writing for Film & TV, Interior Decorating, Video Game Design & Animation, Video Game Design & Development, Fashion Design, Marketing for Fashion and Entertainment, Graphic Design & Interactive Media.
Accomplishments and Alumni
Toronto film school instructors and alumni have completed many interesting projects like short films, dramas and projects like Guess who’s not coming to breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, Gangland Undercover, The wonderful Wayneys, etc. Toronto film school has alumni like Spencer Sinclair (Screenplay writer), and Ali Kazmi (Pakistani-Canadian film and tv actor).
