The University of Texas at Austin is a public research university situated in Texas's capital city and was founded in 1883. It started off with just one structure and now has 18 schools and institutions. The University of Texas at Austin began operations with one facility, eight faculty members, and 221 students about 140 years ago. Currently, UT is ranked among the top 40 universities worldwide.
