Southern Cross University is a multi-campus university in Australia that was formally established on 1 January 1994 as the Lismore Teacher's College and was constituted as an independent University in 1994. In 2010, Southern Cross opened a new campus in the southern Gold Coast area of Queensland and a new Health Sciences building was opened at Coffs Harbour Campus in 2019. A young, progressive and interantionally connected institution, Southern Cross University is affiliated with the Regional Universities Network. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings place the University in the bracket #601-800 and at #30 in Australia, while according to QS World University Rankings, Southern Cross is placed in the bracket #751-800.
