History, Affiliations, and Rankings

The four institutions that form Saskatchewan Polytechnic were established as four individual institutions. The Moose Jaw campus was set up as the Saskatchewan Technical Institute in 1959. Saskatoon was set up as Central Saskatchewan Technical Institute in 1963. Regina was set up as the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in 1972, while Prince Albert was set up as the Northern Institute of Technology in 1986.
