Founded in 1863, Lasalle University is an urban private higher education institution in the beautiful city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Initially established as a Christian institution, it has evolved into a multidisciplinary university focused on research development. The university experiences a total enrollment of around 5,000 students out of which undergraduate students account for nearly 4,000 places. It hosts more than 40 undergraduate degree options with close to 15 programs in the postgraduate division along with shorter term offerings such as certificates and online courses. These programs are offered through three specialised schools, namely, School of Arts and Sciences, School of Business and School of Nursing and Health Sciences. Most opted-for areas of study include nursing, psychology, communication and media studies, finance, management and marketing. The university campus boasts of a culturally diverse and vibrant atmosphere with the presence of over 100 student society and organisations.
