Holland College is a provincial community college established in 1969. The college offers 70 globally recognized, one-year certificates and two-year diploma programs to nearly 250 international students. The college is a leader in providing hands-on skills-based training to its students. Prince of Wales Campus is the main college campus located in Charlottetown. It includes the Centre for Applied Science and Technology (CAST), the Charlottetown Centre, the School of Performing Arts, the Centre for Community Engagement and two apartment-style residences. Other than this, The Tourism and Culinary Centre (home to The Culinary Institute of Canada) is located nearby to the Prince of Wales campus on the Charlottetown waterfront. Prince Edward Island is famous for its hospitality and friendliness with the lowest crime rate in Canada. The varsity athletics teams of the Holland College are called 'Holland Hurricanes' known for winning regional and national titles. Students have ample opportunities to participate in club level sports and several recreational and intramural sports.
