History, Affiliations and Rankings
The school was established in 1898 as an initiative by the Leipzig Chamber of Commerce. It integrated into Leipzig University in 1946 and regained partial independence in 1969. The School was re-founded under private management in 1992. The School maintains partnerships with over 120 schools worldwide including Imperial College Business School Imperial College London, Tuck School of Business Dartmouth College, Goizueta Business School Emory University, and Baruch College City University of New York. QS World University rankings gave it a world ranking of 67.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
THe School follows a one-campus-concept, in which all the buildings and facilities are located in one spot. The Campus is also located nearby with some dorms and cafes. The Campus is located near the green banks of river Weiße Elster. The School offers management courses and doctoral programs. They offer an MBA, A masters in management, a Global Executive MBA, a Euro MBA, and Doctoral Programs.
Accomplishments and Alumni
Since its establishment, HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management has had a long road of History and Accomplishments. It has been accredited by AACSB and ACQUIN. HHL has founded more than 350 startups and created more than 40,000 jobs. Many notable alumni like Alex Hafer (Chief Executive Officer of trivago), Hannes Wiese (Managing Director of About You), and Kerstin Kassner (Former Member of the Bundestag of Germany) have graduated through HHL.
