Located amidst the beautiful Kempenfelt Bay, Georgian College is a co-op educational institute offering accredited courses in diverse industry-focused fields. Georgian College is spread out across seven campuses, of which the main and largest campus is based in Barrie. A total of 13,000 students enrol every year at the university out of which 3,600 students belong to non-Canadian origins. The huge repository courses include undergraduate, postgraduate, as well as diplomas and certificate courses along with professional and continuing education programs. All of these programs are flexible and are available full-time as well as part-time. The campus is home to highly advanced state-of-the-art facilities which include Centre for Changemaking and Social Innovation, Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Centre, Peter B. Moore Advanced Technology Centre and the Athletic and Fitness centre amongst others. The areas of study in which diverse programs are offered range from Automotive Business, Computer Studies, Design and Visual Arts to Health and Wellness, Hospitality and Tourism, Indigenous Studies and Liberal Arts. In addition to this, it also provides skill-based programs. The 75,000 strong Georgian College alumni holds many prominent names such as Olympian Jon Montgomery and prominent photographer Don Komarecha. The university has partnered with several institutes of repute such as Central Michigan University, Lakehead University and York University amongst others.
