History, Affiliations and Rankings
Bryant University is a Smithfield, Rhode Island-based private university. Bryant College was the name until August 2004 then it changed into Bryant University. Bryant University is recognised by the New England Commission on Higher Education and has two colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Business. Its affiliation is with NCAA Division I Northeast Conference. Bryant University is ranked #7 in Regional Universities North.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
Bryant University’s 428-acre campus gives students a diverse range of opportunities to develop and showcase their talents through more than 100 student clubs and organisations.The average class size is 26 students, ensuring that all students receive adequate attention.The University's academic innovation centre, which is used for teaching, is a 48,000-square-foot structure featuring tiered and flat classrooms. They also have an indoor sporting centre, a sports medical and training centre, and a strength and conditioning centre. Programs offered at Bryant University include 195 different major/minor combinations at the undergraduate level and three master's programs which are MBA, MPAc, and MSPAS. More than 195 courses are offered by the University including 26 majors and 35 minor courses at the undergraduate level.
Accomplishments and Alumni
Bryant University recognized its 2021 faculty award winners for excellence in teaching, scholarship and service. The honorees were presented with a plaque and monetary award with a reception that followed. Some of the alumni are Nicholas Colasanto – actor, known for his roles in Cheers, Starsky & Hutch, and Chips, Mikayla Nogueira – social media influencer and makeup artist, James Karinchak – pitcher for the Cleveland Guardians, Benjamin Schulte – Guamanian swimmer and Jeanine Calkin – State senator from the 30th district.
