The Autonomous University of Madrid is a Spanish state-funded college built up in 1968. The university was founded in 1968 alongside the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Campus, Infrastructure and Courses
The campus of the university spans a rural tract of 650 acres and is situated in northern Madrid; its principal grounds, Cantoblanco, is situated close to the urban areas of Alcobendas, San Sebastián de Los Reyes, and Tres Cantos.
This university is broadly categorised into varied schools and faculties, namely Faculty of Economical Science and Business Management, Faculty of Philosophy and Liberal Arts, Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Faculty of Psychology, and Engineering School. Consequently, students have numerous different disciplines to choose from. UAM offers 94 doctorate programs in all of the university's studies. It also offers 88 master's degrees.
Accomplishments and Alumni
As reported by a study of El Mundo, in 2013, UAM was the best university in the country to study biology, Nursing, Medicine, Physics and Law. In addition, to the alliance of the four leading Spanish public Universities, two in Madrid and two in Barcelona, the university also favours close collaboration between projects and researchers. UAM has a list of distinguished alumni members who have ventured on a successful career path for themselves.
