Eligibility Criteria for Nigerian Students 

Before you apply for admission to the University of Suffolk, please make sure you are aware of its eligibility criteria. While the eligibility criteria may slightly vary from program to program, the general requirements remain the same, which are as follows: 

  • For entry to an undergraduate program, applicants need to have one of the following qualifications:
  1. International Baccalaureate Diploma with 28 points
  2. International Foundation Programme
  3. A-Levels
  • For entry to a postgraduate course, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with a score of 50% or a 2:2. 
  • The English language proficiency assessments accepted at the institute are:
  1. IELTS (Academic/UKVI) – 6.5 overall, and a minimum of 5.5 in each component,
  2. Pearson (Academic) – A minimum score of 65,
  3. Cambridge English – Minimum overall score of 169, no less than 162 in each, component or C1 Advanced Certificate in Advanced English, and 
  4. TOFEL (iBT) – A minimum score of 80, with no subscore lower than 17. 
  • Please note that Nigerian Students who have WAEC/ NECO dated within the past 10 years will enjoy waived English Language Test (ELT) requirements.
